I want to send an e-mail containing a flyer for an event to my facebook page. How do I do it?

This is the simplest way to do:

  1. Create a flyer on your computer as an image ( save it as jpg if you have photos and png or gif if it only contains vector graphics and pixels.)
  2. Upload it to your Picasa or DropBox account and make the file public.
  3. Now fire up your Yahoo Mail and click New to create a new mail. Add your flyer with a html img tag: like this: image.jpg
  4. Test by sending to your self and test in different mail clients.

or

Create an HTML web page
You can also create an html page with absolute image links (http://) on your computer view it in your webbrowser and select everything on the page and copy it by pressing ctrl c and then in you yhaoo mail client paste it with ctr v. In rich text mode.

If your reader are using Google Mail it probably want work, they will only see the plain html code. But test test and test.. There is a lot of email clients that it would not work in, so you have to test carefully.

If you have created a website that is powered by googles blogger interface and you have moved it from the blogspot domain to a custom domain you might want to remove the blogger favicon from the search tab. Here are several tutorials showing the easiest way to do it. First you might want to backup your existing template either do this using the export or copy and paste it to notepad, this also gives you a great way of searching the template for the correct place to add the new HTML. HOST FAVICON ONLINE: Upload favicon to an external web host, such as your Picasa album (which is automatically created for you when you upload pictures to your Blogspot). If you've uploaded your favicon to Picasa, then click on the uploaded image. Click on "Link to this photo" (currently on the right side of the screen). Under "Embed Image", check "Image Only (no link"). Copy the embedded image URL. This is the location (URL) of your favicon. ADD FAVICON TO BLOGGER: Visit your Blogger dashboard or Blogspot account. Click on "Layout", then "Edit HTML". You should now be presented with a screen allowing you to edit the HTML of your blog template. Within the HTML, near the top, you should see: [title][data:blog.pageTitle/][/title] Immediately beneath that line of code, paste the following: <*> Replace the asterisk (*) with the following: link href='*' rel='shortcut icon' type='image/x-icon'/ Replace this asterisk (*) with the URL for your favicon image. SAVE YOUR TEMPLATE & TEST: Save your Blogger template, then click on "View Blog". If the favicon does not appear in your address bar, then try refreshing your browser. If you still do not see it, clear your browser's cache file and restart the browser. Renavigate to your blog. Favicon Creator: Free from HTML Kit Secondly you CAN host the favicon to a hosting website that will allow favicons, NOTE: neither of the main sites PenguinPic, Photobucket nor Imageshack do this one of the easiest ways to host it and get the HTML code is to use http://www.iconj.com They have an simple to use upload service that will generate the HTML code that you need to add to your blogger template Finally you need to copy and paste the code that the website generated to the blogger template. The best place to add the code is directly after the code shown belows if you are using firefox you can use the CRTL + F to search it when found it will be highlighted green or use the notepad copy and paste the entire code and search as normal then paste the code surrounded by the comments that will allow you to find it more easily EXAMPLE When you save the template you will see that the favicon has changed from the default blogger for the one you created. If you are using the old Blogger template instead of the New Blogger xml template, and paste the favicon codes immediately after this line of code: <$BlogMetaData$> If you are using your own Webserver Is another cool site that will allow you to resize and create your favicon.jpg is http://www.genfavicon.com there you can then upload the resulting JPG to another hosting site if you choose to or your own web server root folder then insert this HTML to the head of your webpage

Hi,

  • 1

Log into Google Webmaster Tools by entering your Google ID and password.

  • 2

Add your website to your Google Webmaster Dashboard. Type your domain name (everything in your URL before the first forward slash) into the Dashboard text box. Click the "Add Site" button.

  • 3

Select a verification process. Click the "Verify your site" link. Select your desired verification route from the drop-down box labeled "Choose verification method." Select "Add a meta tag" and paste the provided code in between the

tags of your homepage, or choose the "Upload an HTML file" option to upload a blank html file with the name specified by Google.

  • 4

Verify ownership of your web domain. Upload your amended home page or Google-named blank HTML file to your server, depending on the verification method you chose in Step 2. Use an FTP program to transfer the file in question to your website. Click the "Verify" button to complete the process.

  • 5

Identify 404 errors. Click the "Dashboard" link to view website errors. Examine the "Detail" column and locate any web addresses that show "404 (Not Found)" results.

  • 6

Click on the "Linked From" column for each identified 404 error to see the location of the page that contains the broken link.

  • 7

Visit the page that contains the broken link. Right-click on the broken link and select "Copy Shortcut" or "Copy Link Location." Right-click in your browser's address bar and select "Paste" from the ensuing menu.

  • 8

Examine the link in your address bar. Look for stray quotation marks, spaces, periods or commas. Remove everything before the first slash from the link and see if the domain still displays.

  • 9

Fix broken links. Open a text editor and load the HTML file for the page in question. Correct link typos and delete links that no longer lead to live websites. Save your amended HTML files and re-upload them to your server using your FTP program.

  • 10

Return to the Google Webmaster Tools Dashboard. Click the "Sitemaps" link on the left navigation bar. Click the "Resubmit" button to resubmit your website's sitemap.

  • 11

Wait an average of four to six weeks for Google to re-index your amended website pages.
