Understanding The Usage And Dosage Of Asthma Inhalers

These days, people think that the asthma patients are the experts on asthma inhalers. However, the fact is that most of the asthmatics have a tendency to forget the specifics of the right way to use the inhaler, particularly at the time when they feel relieved from the problem of asthma. If you are new to the asthma inhalers, then your physician must have informed about the right way as well as the purpose to use it.

The inhalers are split into two categories
The controller inhalers and the rescue inhalers are the two categories. Mentioned below are some facts that you should know about the first and the most common kind is the rescue inhaler.

Dosage and usage
Rescue inhalers are made for instant relief, or you can say 'rescue' from a severe or troublesome asthma issue. The symptoms of asthma consist of squatness of breath, breathlessness, stiffness in the chest, and cough. The rescue inhalers should offer relief within a few minutes. Approximately every asthmatic person should always carry a rescue inhaler that is easily available for emergency use.
The most frequently utilized rescue inhaler is the albuterol, or you can also call it as Ventolin. Of these, Ventolin is the only one that includes a dose counter, turning it much easier to get familiar with the thing that how much medication is still present in the canister. The most common dosage is two inhalations, at least, some hours apart. Most of the doctors recommend them every 4 to 6 hours as required, although in a bad case of asthma they may be needed more frequently.
Also, generally speaking, the intention is that the rescue inhaler will not be needed more than a few times a week unless a patient is undergoing an acute attack because of a respiratory infectivity, allergy, or some other transient situation. The patients who needed a rescue inhaler frequently than this should also be on a controller inhaler. An exception to this might be exercise-induced asthma. The athletes who just require a rescue inhaler before exercise should discuss the prospect of adding a controller **** with their physician. It may or may not be suitable.

These days, the people can easily buy cheap Ventolin online at the most affordable rates. All you need to bear in mind is that you should acquire this medicine through some reliable online pharmacy.

Your reply to my query re: medication proving harmful to patient, was to consult doctor. I reside in South Africa where I am unable to contact the specialists. They refuse to answer phone, gmail

It is impossible on a forum like this to give authoritative advice. It would be flatly irresponsible not to advise seeing a doctor.

That said, if you are marooned like that and you must experiment, I would try 1/2 doses for a while and carefully check progress.

What is Pulse Flow and how is it different from Continuous Flow ?

Pulse and continuous flow (or pulse dose and continuous flow dose) refer to how the oxygen is delivered to the patient. A pulse flow machine delivers oxygen only when the patient inhales and is triggered by inhaling. A continuous flow machine delivers a continuous flow of oxygen. Most continuous flow machines will deliver BOTH pulse and continuous flow. Here is oxygen tank process

I am asthmatic and am prone to getting coughs, but this latest cough just hasnt gone away. I do not feel unwell but the coughing is annoying.

The cough could be a sign that your asthma is not so well under control. Are you having any episodes of wheezing or shortness of breath? Are you using your inhalers more often than normal or holding back on exercise etc because of it?

If you answered yes to any of these questions you may need to alter your asthma medication.

nebulizers tips

Making asthma treatment a natural part of your child’s daily routine is important and does not have to be challenging. The following are just a few tips. Do the treatment(s) at the same time each day, so that your child comes to expect it as a regular part of the daily routine. Entertain your child with videos, music tapes, toys, coloring books, puzzles, looking at books, or reading to your child during treatment. You should put the mask on a favorite stuffed toy or doll first. Show how much fun the toy is having or how brave it is. Then, transfer the mask to your child.
