Tip & How-To about Miscellaneous

I recently install a clutch on my 1999 gmc sonoma and after install it would shift but barley like something was wrong with my slave cylinder but how could this b i said the salve cylinder is a aluminum cast piece how can that mess up it doesn't install with a casket or nothing just 2 bolts but i reserved it had to b done but i procrastinated almost a year exactly till one day snap the pedal went to the floor and i was like wtf after careful inspection i found that a hinge pin on the side of the clutch pedal had indeed come all the way out so i went to my local pull apart and got one and after install which is a breeze my truck shifted flawlessly i was astounded this whole year of dread of having to take the tranny and the clutch back out all for not so check that if u have the same problem cause that was it and NOBODY FIGURED THAT OUT OF ALL THE MECHANICS I ASKED WHICH WAS VAST AND SO SO MANY

see the pedal wasn't putting enough pressure on the plunger so i was basically shifting with have a clutch depressed it was so rough to shift and i had to force it so much it eventually broke of my shift tower after i replaced that i was like mayb that was it the whole time WRONG it still shifted like do-do till the pedal finally broke all the way off ROFL OH WELL U LIVE AND LEARN even after 45 years of living

I have a 1999 gmc sonoma which I recently had clutch replaced however it still won't go into gear. Any suggestions as to what else it cold be?

did you have it pro replaced? If so, you should take it back to them. How long is your warranty? If you personally replaced, you need to check the service manual. Here is the owner manual
