Tip & How-To about Miscellaneous
Ever struggle to move sofas, chairs, tables, etc., just to do simple floor cleaning? Well, there is a simple and cheap way to do it! Here's a tip: Many dollar discount stores sell packs of (8) Teflon pads with a durable foam insert inside for the furniture to rest on, between your hardwood, carpeted and other types of floors, for as little as $1.00-$2.00 per (8) pack. I've found these to be a real back saver when it comes time to move stuff for regular floor cleaning. The pads slide very easily, don't mar surfaces or tear carpets. Even heavy items can be pushed with just one hand. The pads are about 3"-4" in diameter and spread the weight of the object supported very well, avoiding pressure points that can imprint on the floor underneath. I've bought many of these, and my wife and I love them. It just makes mundane chores that much quicker to finish with no extra exertion on your back or body. Give'em a try, they're worth the very small amount of money compared to the exertion you'd spend otherwise.
