Tip & How-To about Facebook Social Network

Can't Log In to Facebook

Facebook works on two very simple things.

The full email address that your registered with them. This is the one you get your notifications to when someone tags you or you get replies to your posts.

The password associated to that particular account.

If you forget your password, you can click the FORGOT PASSWORD link and a reset will be emailed to you using that registered email address.

Someone may have taken over your account, but that can only happen if you gave someone your log in details, or if you responded to a fraudulent phishing email and you went to a site that LOOKED like Facebook and you gave your information to 'Verify' your account.

You can search for people of your name and if you see a few, keep clicking LOAD MORE, until the name becomes mixed with different surnames or Christian names to yours. Go to Facebook and without trying to log in, put your name in the search box. When you find yourself, log in with your full email address associated with the account and password. If the password doesn't get you in, click FORGOT PASSWORD.

I had a facebook page in 2015 & 2016 but it has disappeared

They never disappear unless you select permanently delete.

Log in with the email address you registered for Facebook and the password you used for Facebook (as opposed to email password)

Go to an email notification that you received when you were using it and click on the link in it, then sign in.

Search for your name in google plus 'Facebook', and let Google find your page, and sign in.

i deleted my facebook account on accident

You can only sign up for one account per email address. Facebook sends a notification to every email address associated with an account when someone has been able to register one of the addresses on the account. This happens when a person clicks on a link sent to the email address when creating a new account, or when adding the address to an existing account.
I have checked tons of solution sites and cannot find an answer except to contact Facebook at 650-543-4800 or on info@facebook.com
