How I cured my Seiko ER 9000

This is what I did to "cure" my ER 9000 from locking up etc.

First remove the batteries. Wrap the ER 9000 in four or five layers of cling film ensuring that it is completely sealed. Place it in the freezer overnight. When you remove it the next day, DO NOT remove the cling film until the whole thing comes up to room temperature again otherwise the ER 9000 will get wet from condensation. This should take 2 or 3 hours to be certain. Now remove the cling film and wipe the unit to ensure that it is dry. Refit the batteries ( new ones if you can) then and this is important PRESS RESET before you do anything else. If all is well it should come back to normal. I hope that this is helpful and you have the same success as I had.
If this is successful please give feedback, Thanks

my phone got a litttle wet and will come on but not all the way. what do i do?

Step One: obtain 8 0z. or more of Silica Gel, buy online, try www.mcmaster.com Two: put in sieve, throw away small granules. Three: Get a shallow ceramic tray, pour gel in 1-2 layers, microwave 3 minutes. repeat this once. Pour dried gel into a air-tight container.
Four: pour a 3/8" thick layer of dried gel into a wide-mouthed, airtight container. Put cellphone in center, bury cellphone in rest of dried gel.
Five: leave this in a dry place for 24 hours. Remove phone and try it, good luck!

car stereo locked in saab 9000

If your battery goes flat or you disconnected the car battery, your car stereo anti-theft security system will be activated: you need to consult your car/radio user manual to remove this lock and will need the correct security code.
Hope it helps: please let me know how you go!
