Easy way to install fuel line and primer bulb return line into gas tank

Chainsaw fuel lines enter the gas tank from holes in top of tank. They are sized for a tight fit to prevent leakage. Make it easy on yourself when pushing the line through the tank by cutting a long lengthwise taper cut with razor knife 3 inches or longer to easily feed through that tight hole. Once started you will then have to grab it through the gas cap hole with needle nose pliers, then cut the tapered end flush and add fuel filter. Readjust inside length by pulling from above, then cut to length to upper carb fitting. If connecting to primer bulb a filter is not required and make sure the line goes to fitting on primer bulb marked tank.

The fuel lines in my Ozito 25.4 cc 305mm bar chainsaw are perished, how do I replace them?

Chainsaw fuel lines are specialized hoses that either need to be replaced with TEFLON hoses of the same diameter, or the specialized rubber hoses that are resistant to gasoline and other chemicals. You should ask at a hardware store and make sure you get a hose that fits TIGHTLY into any holes on the gas tank, and also snugly fits over ant incoming metal or brass lines going into the carburetor.

HOW DO YOU REPLACE FUEL LINES ON A CRAFTMAN CHAINSAW MODEL 358355160

The lines are usually a tight fit in the fuel tank. This prevents leaks. They must be pulled out of the tank (one at a time) then cut the new lines end in a "v" pattern, this will allow you to push the new line through the tank. Long needle nose pliers are needed too.

tppOn my Poulan Wild Thing 18" chain saw the fuel line appears to have out of the hole going to the gas tank. How do you get the line back through the hole, it is a very tight fit?

Cut the end of the hose off at a steep angle, push it into the hole in the tank, now use a pair of needle nose pliers through the fuel filler hole to grab the end and pull it through.

how do you fix the plastic gas line? It doesn't stay in the gas tank. When I prime the bulb the gas squirts out and when the echo blower is in use, gas ends up leaking on my leg.

The holes in these gas tank are made to fit available fuel lines tightly enough to prevent the problems you are having. If yours is leaking either someone put on too small a fuel line or made the hole larger so it would be easier to put the fuel line in the tank. The only fix is to get the next size larger fuel line or replace the tank. You can try to seal the line with RTV or silicone but he gas will degrade it and it will leak again plus you'll have a harder time the next time the line has to be replaced.

the saw starts up fine, runs fine but not for long. it runs for about 1 minute and dies. like it is out of fuel or sucking air, i noticed there is no filter on the suction line and there is another nipple entering the fuel tank which appears to need a hose on it , is this just a return line, or should the long line in side the tank press on to this nipple? thanks,

there should be a filter on the long line,on a heavy little aluminium weight, which keeps it into the fuel when tipped over.the short one will probably be the return line.check the carbie,to see if there is a fuel return line.some chainsaws do have them, most weedeaters do.the long fuel line is quite long allowing the filter to flop about, always at the bottom of the tank, where the fuel is
