The date and time shown on screen at bottom right are wrong. How do I put this right?

If you use the trackpad to place the arrow/cursor over the time in the lower right corner and click the right button for the trackpad, a menu should appear, giving you the option to select "adjust date/time". Select that option an click the left button for the trackpad. A menu should then open in a new window with the options for changing the date, time and time zone. There should also be the option available in the menu somewhere to have the date and time automatically set through an internet connection to a "time server" at one or more computers listed in the menu.

There will also be a control panel which will give you access to the settings for the date and time, if you want to go through the control panels in your operating system. Generally, the method starting from the time in the corner is the easiest option.
