Mobility scooter gearbox

Is your scooter 6 months or more old ? please consider having the gearbox re-greased ? why ? well sadly most companies use something called grease however it 's awful... from going stiff to having no lubrication properties at all,,, get your gear re -greased , it will prolong the life of the scooter ...and keep the noise away.....

I have a 900 series poulan 6"5 HP tiller what type of gearbox oil what weight

The safest to use is oo grease. Snapper used it on all chain and gear assemblies. It's expensive, save yourself the trouble. Go to tractor supply and get something called "Super S Cotton Picker Spindle Grease 00" . It's $5, better staying power than 90w oil and comes in a bottle you can squirt into the fill hole.

iv'e just stripped down and repaired my gearbox on my scooter. however i don't know what oil, grease is required could you help.

hji, on most scooters it recommended you use a semi fluid grease, recommend by shoprider on their scooters... plain grease is not ideal as it sticks to the sides of the casing , not lubricating anything ...

a thickest oil would also be ideal, however remember if no gasket is fitted it may leak...hence the semi fluid route..

does the Freerider kensington have oil in the drive motor? if so how do I check it and what type and quanity does is it use? Also does anyone have a workshop manual for this

No Oil but you do have a grease nibble located on top of the gearbox, get hold of a grease gun and give it three squits of grease.
