Tip & How-To about Miscellaneous

If you want an answer, follow these guidelines...

  • Tell us the product manufacturer and the model number. We can't help you if we don't know what device you are using.
  • Don't ask questions about passwords you cannot remember. There is NO WAY we can provide you with the password that you created. Your device will most likely have to be reset back to its factory "out of the box" settings by the store where you bought your device.
  • Read the instructions and manuals that came with your device. Yes, I know those manuals may not be very exciting to read, but they contain a lot of valuable information about your device that you should know. AND...you might find out that your device has some great features you never knew about.

i need to change the contral thermosrt on lincat df66 do i take the bottom pannel or is there an easier way?

I'm sorry but I'm not familiar with that brand? I don't service home model products, only commercial units, so that could be why I don't know that name? What about calling their 800 number and asking for the warrarnty/service dept? They should be able to help you?
Sorry I wasn't able to help more, but just don't have much experience with home model stuff.

We need a manual. There wasn't one with the product. Can we download one?

Most manufacturers have websites to support their products with downloads of manuals, drivers, firmware updates, etc.
  • You don't say what type or model of camera you have, so use a search engine like Google to locate the website for your camera manufacturer.
  • Then look for a link labeled "support", "manuals" or "downloads". This link should take you to a page where you can search for your specific camera model name and identification number (look at the bottom of your camera for a model number).
  • Even if you don't find an exact match, an instructional manual for a similar camera model, should be helpful.
  • Follow the instructions on the page to download the file, usually a .PDF document. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the file. It's a free download available at:http://get.adobe.com/reader/
  • Save the manual to your hard-drive for future reference.

Good luck.
