Tip & How-To about Red Line 57905 75w90 Synthetic Gear Oil 1 Gallon Pack Of 4

YOU DON'T have to have the mechanical know-how of a MotoGP technician to perform simple home-servicing tasks; some decent tools and a little common sense are all you need to keep your bike in tip-top shape.
Ideally, get hold of a workshop manual for your machine for a better understanding of how each task should be carried out. Most will give pictures detailing each part of the process; a good manual will also list the tools you'll need to complete the job. Find yours here.
Like a chef's knives, using quality tools are half the battle to a successful job, so avoid using the underseat toolkit if you can.
Obviously, if you're not 100 per cent comfortable working on your own bike then ask a knowledgeable mate to watch over you.
TYRES - Pressures
When was the last time you checked your bike's tyre pressures? It should be done on a weekly basis, but many of us forget to keep an eye on one of the most vital parts of our bike's set-up.
Underinflated tyres tend to affect handling and braking as the lack of pressure means the tyre wall isn't firm enough to properly cope with the forces exterted on it. Overinflation can also result in a deterioration in handling, as well as a reduced contact patch with the road. This can result in a lack of grip under braking.
Use a quality pressure gauge to accurately check your bike's tyre pressures. Consult the owner's manual for the correct pressure. Remember, your tyres may need more pressure if you regularly ride with a pillion passenger. Always check your pressures when they're cold.
It's also worth checking the condition and tread depth of the tyres while you're at it

I have a sony vx2000 mini-dv camera and when I try to play back some tapes I've recorded on the camera I get an error code c:21:23, I don't get this everytime, just sometimes.

Tape mechanism problems can be quite complicated. This will require disassembling the camera to repair the tape mechanism and can be done fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired by a qualified service technician.

My name is Rick and I'm a professional repair technician with over 20 years in the business and have repaired many of these. I'm semi retired and work from home with little overhead so I can keep repair costs low. If you decide to have the camera repaired, please click HERE for a directory listing that suits your needs.

If this response has been of any help to you, please be sure and give a positive vote for me on FixYa.com.

Our intake gasket on our 2002 Chevy Malibu is leaking coolant. Is this a problem that can be repaired in an at home garage by a friend who is a mechanic? Or is the job too big and needs more than your typical home owner's garage?

Any job can be done at home provided you or your mechanic friend has the proper tools and understanding to perform the job. If you're a beginning do it yourselfer or just need a refresher I would highly advise getting yourself a service manual for your vehicle at your local auto parts store. It will have decent instructions and pictures in performing most of the jobs you may encounter for your vehicle. Also you may want to take pictures or make notes before anyone removes any components or lines in order to remove your intake. If you need any help with this procedure let me know and good luck

new dremel 4000 used very little is missing the brushes and whatever else goes in the brush hole. found the cap laying on the table with no other parts. what do I need to replace???

Dremel has all their replacement parts right on the shelf at walmart, brushes, caps, chucks, the works. You found the cap, the brush is a little carbon square attached to a wire with a spring on it. Real simple. Buy a pair and get it fixed up. My favorite tool.

runs slow, i do the basic like defrag, clean disk, delet history. internet files, thing of that nature but my hp is slow like my processor is out dated or my processor is trying to hard to complete simple task

Your computer has only 512MB of RAM.That will just barely run your XP,forget about doing anything else. You need a minimum of 1GB,2GB is even better.Your computer works in RAM not your hard-drive.The hard-drive is for storage, the RAM is for running your programs.
This link is your manual and it will walk you thru the procedure.Hope this helps?
