Tip & How-To about Tablets & eReaders
I see several people having problems with their charger cord not plugging into the device so it charges or not staying plugged in because it comes right back out etc. I have found a way to make sure I don't damage those somewhat delicate and very small, mini-USB charging ports which are usually not repairable or replaceable.
I *borrowed* my wife's red fingernail polish and then I plugged in the charging cord on all of my seven or eight different devices and wall chargers which I have all labeled so I use the right one - I use masking tape and simply write the device name on the tape with a pen.
But, back to the red nail polish - I put a splotch of red nail polish so I can see it from the front of the device when it's plugged in correctly. This way the next time I plug it in to charge it, I'm not taking a chance of trying to plug it in backwards which can surely damage the female, mini-USB port, metal catch tabs and electrical pins.
