Step 1: Restart your computer, press "Ctrl+Alt+Delete" two times, then enter the administrator name and password if you know the password, if you don't, leave it blank, click "Ok". Step 2: Start to reset the password by pressing "Win+R" and type control user passwords 2 and hit "Enter".

Lenovo c260 windows 8.1 it wont start I have blue screen with enter current password I dont have one I can't start my computer I removed the battery I jumped the cmos nothing help please

Is it asking for the BIOS password or Windows password?
If it's the Windows password, then resetting the CMOS won't do anything.
If it's the windows password, you'll have to find a program that will reset or read the passwords. It's usually less effort than reinstalling windows.

The computer is asking me for a password in order to be able to use it i dont know what it is i never set one can someone help me

maybe your family have changed it,i think the first you should ask your family.

Forgot password


do you have win98 cd, if it so boot the machine from the 98 cd,

rename the sam file from the location c:\windows\system32\config

the you can find the SAM file, rename the file to sam.old
