Tip & How-To about LG SuperMulti Network Attached Storage N1A1DD1 Network Storage Server

How to remove hard drive

There is a single screw under the sticker on the bottom that says the warranty will be voided if you remove it. Remove that sticker and unscrew that black screw.

Then one of the white panels (the one closest to the actual hard drive) will slide towards the front of the enclosure when you push outward on the two black panels enough to clear the white tabs from the big white panel.

You need to take apart the PSP. To do that there are 4 screws in the back of the PSP. WARNING, this WILL void your warranty if you have one. Now, there are 3 screws visible, the last one is in the battery compartment under the batter under the sticker that says something about voiding your warranty if you take this sticker off. Unscrew the last screw and the front should come off nice and easy. Then you can clean and fix your key and screw it back together.

I can not get the bin out of the shredder, i believe it is off track and completly full with shreds coming out. I want to know can I take it apart somehow and fix it myself (You know the screws on the bottom I unscrewed them and tied to open the sides gently but it does not seem to put the bin back in track)

Dont wont to do if shredder is under warranty. If not, you will usually see a sticker staying that if you remove this sticker you warranty is voided. There is a screw that holds the top on. If you take the sticker off your warrranty is voided so beware.

PS3 will not start-the green light and hard drive starts up for a few seconds then shuts off

Hello,

The problem is a hardware problem, which is due to a failure in a component it the unit.
You will have to dismantle the playstation, clean it and couple it back together. To dismantle the playstation, follow the steps below:
1.
  • Pull the warranty sticker off of the bottom of the PS3. This will void your warranty, so make sure that the problem you are addressing is not covered by your warranty. Note that taking your PS3 to be repaired by someone other than Sony will still void your warranty. You are not losing anything by taking apart your PS3 yourself. Under the sticker will be a small piece of rubber that hides a single screw. Remove the rubber piece and unscrew the screw.
  • 2 Slide the faceplate off of the PlayStation 3. After the faceplate is removed, you can now separate the two halves of the plastic covering. Remove and set aside the top piece of the plastic case to expose the internal components of the PS3. On the underside of the top plastic covering, there will be a memory card slot at the bottom-right corner.
  • 3 Locate and remove the Bluetooth circuit board. Remove the four screws to lift the Bluetooth board free. This is located at the bottom-left corner of the main body of the PS3 if you have the system flat on its side instead of standing up straight. This will look like a green rectangle with a tan metal covering.
  • 4 Locate the small circuit board that controls the power and eject functions of the PlayStation 3. Remove the four Phillips-head screws in order to separate this piece from the body of the system. This is located at the bottom-right corner of the PS3, directly in front of the disc box.
  • 5 Locate and remove the Blu-Ray/PS3 player. This is the large tan metal box that is located in the top right corner of the PS3. Unscrew the player and flip it upside down to expose the circuit board that controls it. If you want to remove the circuit board, there are five small screws that hold it in place.
  • 6 Remove the power supply from the inside of the gaming system. This is located at the top-left corner inside the PS3. To remove this component, there will be two telephone-like plugs that have to be unplugged, one at the top and one at the bottom of the power supply. Additionally, there will be 13 screws that hold the power supply in place. The back and front plastic coverings of the PS3's shell will now easily slide free.
  • 7 Remove the final internal component, which is the PS3's motherboard. In order to do this, remove the metal covering the rests on top of the motherboard. There will be 11 screws that border the metal covering as well as four screws in the very center, two from each of the rectangular center pieces. Once the screws are removed, the metal covering will lift off and the motherboard will be able to be removed.

  • Have it cleaned and properly reverse the process to reassemble it back together.

Note: If you are still under the warranty period of purchase, you can take it back to the dealer that supplied it to you for their technical support.

    Take care and good luck

    Hello,

To open your ps3, you need to first shut it down and disconnect all the cables connected to it, wait for about an hour for the high voltage in it to dissipate. The you get a screwdriver that matches the screws on it.

Pull the warranty sticker off of the bottom of the PS3. This will void your warranty, so make sure that the problem you are addressing is not covered by your warranty. But before you get to all these parts you must have gotten your DVD movies out.

    Take care
