Tip & How-To about Vehicle Parts & Accessories

Winter car starting

During cold winter morning starting many cars have hard starting problems..Try this, before starting your car turn the switch to on but not the start position..if your car has auto on and off headlights let them on if it does not, turn them on..then listen for the fuel pump to run then stop about ten "10 " seconds..then turn off your lights and start the car..What this does is fully prime the fuel system and injectors plus energize " wake up the cold battery " Results quicker starts with less ware on the starter and longer battery life..Try it works for me...Good luck..

hard starts in the morning even though replaced most parts

Check the power to the cold start injector. (it's only going to have fire for a few sec. after the key is turned on). If the fire is good, replace the cold start injector. This injector is activated for a few seconds when the engen temp is low to add a little fuel lower down in the intake and closer to the pistons.
