Top 2" of my concrete wall has eroded. How do I fix it, so it will last, and make sure new concrete bonds to the old?

Hi.

There are different kinds of concrete coating. The choice of product varies, depending if the wall is interior or exterior and on the location of the wall (for example the product used in a bedroom's wall will be different from the coating adopted in a garage).

Epoxy coating are great products that can be used in exterior or interior. Epoxy products however may smell and trigger allergies. Epoxy is one of the strongest coating for exteriors.

If the space is a living room, then it is probably better to use acrylic cement. Acrylic coatings do not smell and do not release volatile compounds. Acrylics look similar to Portland cement and are generally less strong and adherent than epoxy paste.

The application method is usually illustrated in the coating product's container. The procedure consists in cleaning the wall (you can use a power washer), applying the product with a trovel, and then checking the results after 24 hours or when prescribed in the coating's instructions.

After applying the coating you can finish the wall with paint and sealer product.

interior and exterior fuse keeps blowing on my 1999 sunfire

if the fuse keeps blowing then there is an electrical short somewhere and this needs to be found and repaired, fuse keeps blowing so the wires don't over heat and cause a fire, do not put in a larger fuse than is required you can cause a fire

the glass surround on the oven door has partly come away, have tryed super glue to stick it back down but it just wont work, probably due to the heat. any ideas on what to use to re-stick it or replace??

Here's a suggestion from Rex_Mundi; 10-11-2006 at 7:24 PM..

"Best bet is to get in touch with the manufacturer. This will be some specialist Intumescent (fireproof) type glue or tape. Intumescent tape is available (I've used many different kinds over the years for glazing in firedoors/windows), but I wouldn't risk recommending anything without any word from the manufacturer. You have an added issue here (food in the oven) you don't want to risk anything that may give off fumes when very hot." I, Charlie, would agree with the above. Crazy Glue, for example, will produce very nasty fumes when heated. Another person's experience ( icecoolbabe ) : "This happened to my oven ... and I could not find a heatproof glue anywhere. I ended up going back to the manufacturer.

They sent an engineer to replace the whole oven door! He said you cannot normally reseal them properly so it's easier to replace the door." Charlie
