My Pioneer VSX-454 stereo receiver, put up an "overload" in the display and shut down. I have had this receiver for several years and this is the first time that this has happened. Is the receiver junk?

The protection circiuts detected false more likely in the audio power amp circuits. Turn off all the speaker outputs or disconnect all the speaker wires to see if the fasle gose away. If it is power amp problem, it will cost way too much to have the shop troubleshoot it down to component level.

The Screen is black no video. No respond on Power button. Blue power lite coms on after minut or tow it self and stil no video with blue PWR lite on.

That can be as simple as failed DC filter caps in the power supply, that will be the first thing to check, as you can see in my albums of failed VIEWSONIC and ALL brands of monitors.
