Try using "Search problems & products" to find an answer to your question as it may have already been asked!
Put in the product you are interested in, rather than the full question, as it will look through all the categories automatically.
You can see where to ask your question, if you cannot find the answer, as it will list the categories you should be interested in for your product
Lots of question get posted in the wrong category or in multiple categories as many people do not search for the correct category first.

Why does FixYa hijack search results?

When you ask, search or find questions-answers on fixya, often you are given 'recommended' answers if no expert has directly answered question before.
Same with searches.
When google-searching a product, and fixya appears as first-page result on google, then that often means there are no other resources available on internet ... and fixya might have posted that product without any resources to offer ... possibly hoping that new expert will join and offer explanation.
But then you can post question on fixya, and expert might have found resources ... or maybe not... for example, really old products, discontinued products, may not have any information available. Other times, companies rename a product so they appear to offer a unique item with intention of making comparison shopping more difficult... that's why a clear description of product and problem are important when asking a question.
When asking question on fixya, best results when full information is given, including age of product, name and brand and model of product, photo or video of product, full detailed explanation of problem, and what has been tried so far to resolve problem.... this information can quickly tell expert what the issue is, and how to best resolve problem ... if possible. Obviously, some things can't be fixed, and nobody is expert in everything.
For example, just asking for a manual without giving product description will often lead to unanswered or incorrectly answered question.
It's also possible that fixya truncates the question so expert cannot see whole question. At least one person reported that his/her question was chopped off, and so expert was trying to answer different question than person wanted.
The experts here provide genuine service to folks ... and we know this from periodic feedback arriving from people who asked questions.
You could join and become welcome expert also. Especially if you have knowledge and resources on copiers, printers, TVs, automobile repair, appliance repair, websites, etc etc. The actual categories offered are extensive.

Hello, i keep having this really big problem with my Hp c7280 all-in-one. It dosent want to print i have tried everything, and it thosent work, i have even tried that thing with that special combo, where you press "*" "#" and then write 123. and all that! And i have tried to buy new 6 inks. but still dont work. What could be the problem please help!

I suggest reinstalling the software. I don't know what operating system you are using it with, but the link I'm providing you will list those compatible. Even if you used the install disc that came with the printer, it's probably already out-of-date. Here is the download link:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?product=3204785&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&cc=us

If you're using Windows 7 the Install Wizard my assist you better:

I hope this helps, in the future try to include the operating system you are using with peripheral products or hardware and software installations. Then I, or others, can put you right where you need to be.

I purchased a trial version of MS Office Home/Student online in Sept of '07. Along with thw purchase I also had MS mail me a backup disc. Recently my PC got sick and had to be cleaned & restored. When I try to use Office, I keep getting a message that the trial has expired and asks me if I want to convert. I put in my Product key and I get a message that the conversion is complete and that I must reboot. I reboot. No change. What can I do? Or am I aout the $183.00

try calling Microsoft. if you purchased the product already and already registered it online, then the key is already activated. if you try to re-enter it again, the system will reject it. When you call microsoft, you need to have the original CD with you, they will ask for the product code on the CD itself. so that they could provide you another product key.

I entered a wrong product key to my MS OFFiCE 2007!! HELP!!

Yes, you actually need to purchase the full version of microsoft office, and then you will get your own product key. To use other peoples keys is a crime. And, it won't work.
