Tip & How-To about Cell Phones

Don't put your phone in rice, there is a better solution when you drop it in water

Any time did you receive a package or simply when get an electronic device out of the box you see these little bags that say : "silica gel do not eat". Don't discard them, keep them in a very dry place inside little ziplock bags, their mission is to absorb humidity and they are very good at it. When your phone get wet, simply shake it with a towel, then put it inside the ziplock bag and wait until next day.

I have a phone and it has been working for a very long time perfectly. The only issue is it got a little bit wet. I've accidentally let it get wet a few times, but it has never had any issues. This time it does. All the buttons work, but the touchscreen won't respond at all.

You need to try Silica Gel Packets. There was a good article on associatedcontent.com that explains how to dry an iPod, MP3 player, cell phones, or any electronics. You need to place your phone in a zip lock bag with Silica Gel Packets. Silica Gel will remove all the moisture from the phone and its components, something air drying will not do!
Just Google "Silica Gel Packets" and you will find several companies selling these products. There is also a web site called: http://www.SilicaGelPackets.com that has them.
