How to stop a squeek

For fixing A squeek on your fridge door/kitchen doors/stove door/microwave/or even car try this and save money. We all have cooking spray and if you don,t buy some before the hardware store sells you something that will cost A fortune.Just spray A small amount on t5he squeek and open and close it 4/5 times. If it is hard to get at use A small paint brush. This can also be used on all most anything even your car but only in the summer because it will freeze. Now the squeek is gone and you can use the rest for cooking no waist.Thank you and good luck....

my ge spectra stove stopped working after using the microwave

Is this an electric range? If so try reseting the breaker again. It sounds like you lost one leg of your 220 volts.

Door won't stay closed

I just had this issue happen to me last week.. fortunately I was standing in my kitchen when it happened... I heard a snap and then a piece fall down the inside of either the door or the front key panel.. I'm assuming this controlled the door locking/oven turning on safety mechanism. The inside light wont go off and it won't turn on to cook.. I am trying to figure out if it's worth paying to fix or just replace the whole unit!? Anyone know if this is fixable by oneself rather than spend a bunch of money on a service technician??

The oven door squeeks

lol sounds like its not just a lube problem but an alignment problem. alot of times the hing has a nylon bushing to cut that noise out. might just want to remove the hing and replace it or try to find a new bushing. these type of problems really ****. seems simple to fix yet it offten takes months of trial and error to cure the problem..... good luck

GE microwave is not heating food

That crackle is usually a failed high-voltage rectifier diode. It's possible that the magnetron is failing or failed, too, but I would suspect the diode first.

Generally, the most common causes of a failure to heat are:

- bad door switches or door switch mounts
- loose connection at the magnetron
- problem or loose connection on the control unit circuit board
- bad magnetron or other high voltage part

It's always recommended that you have the hood fan on when cooking on the stove to prevent moisture from entering the controls of the microwave.

Also, I tell my customers to be sure no one ever sprays cleaner directly on the keypad.

But I don't think those are factors in your case.
