It is possible that your game is scratched up enough that you can't play it directly on your xbox 360... BUT you might still be able to play it is you can save it to your Xbox 360 hard drive. You might need to try it a few times to get it to read and work but try following these instructions for installing the game from your CD directly onto your Hard drive. You will still need to have the CD in your Xbox 360 to play but it will be reading from your hard drive if you can install it. Good luck:

when putting in Forza Motorsport 3 the console makes a lound noise, like the fan is on overtime when reading disc a lot louder than other games. Tried other games after and just low hum. Is it the console or the game and can it do any harm

Likely that for some reason the Xbox is having a hard time reading the disc and it is spinning the drive trying to search for files on the disk. If you aren't having the same issue with other games then recommend to resolve this issue then simply install the game onto your hard drive and the game will then only need to be accessed for verification only and the game will be played off your hard drive and not your disk drive. Here are the instructions for insalling a game to your hard drive:
Install Xbox 360 games on your hard drive from a game disc Note Installing an Xbox 360 game on a hard drive requires between 4 and 8 gigabytes (GB) of free disc space.
  1. Insert the game disc into the disc drive.

  3. Select the game you want to install.
  4. Press Y on your controller.
  5. Select Install to Hard Drive.

  • Multidisc game? Install each disc to your hard drive.

my 360 will let me play a little bit of a game at a time. after playing maybe 5 or ten min or so it will freeze up. the last two times that it froze up it asked me two clean the disc, or contact xbox3660 support. the disc itself is in great shape. i still cleaned it anyway and still the same result. what do i do?

You specify the xbox 360 do you know what year model you have? If it as earlier model then likely you are running into system instability with many reasons for the error being possible.

Does the error only appear with one particular title or across your game library?

If it is just one game then attempt to install the game onto your hard drive and play the game after that. To install the game onto your hard drive you will need to do the following:

Install Xbox 360 games on your hard drive from a game disc Note Installing an Xbox 360 game on a hard drive requires between 4 and 8 gigabytes (GB) of free disc space.

When I play Black ops it loads but never goes past the black screen after you press play game. I have an Xbox 360 white and I'm wondering is that the problem. When i took it to my uncles 360 it worked fine. I thought I needed a hard drive because when my friends brought over their hard drives, Black ops worked fine. I bought one but it still doesnt work please help.

I have never heard this issue before. You probably have a lager issue then what can be resolved here and might face future issue in the future. Is this the only game you are having issues with?

Seeing that you mentioned you have purchased a hard drive then I would recommend you install the game to your hard drive and try play after that. This will resolve any issues possably of your disk drive possably getting hung up during gameplay.

follow these instructions to get your game installed on your hard drive:

Install Xbox 360 games on your hard drive from a game disc Note Installing an Xbox 360 game on a hard drive requires between 4 and 8 gigabytes (GB) of free disc space.
