Why does FixYa hijack search results?

When you ask, search or find questions-answers on fixya, often you are given 'recommended' answers if no expert has directly answered question before.
Same with searches.
When google-searching a product, and fixya appears as first-page result on google, then that often means there are no other resources available on internet ... and fixya might have posted that product without any resources to offer ... possibly hoping that new expert will join and offer explanation.
But then you can post question on fixya, and expert might have found resources ... or maybe not... for example, really old products, discontinued products, may not have any information available. Other times, companies rename a product so they appear to offer a unique item with intention of making comparison shopping more difficult... that's why a clear description of product and problem are important when asking a question.
When asking question on fixya, best results when full information is given, including age of product, name and brand and model of product, photo or video of product, full detailed explanation of problem, and what has been tried so far to resolve problem.... this information can quickly tell expert what the issue is, and how to best resolve problem ... if possible. Obviously, some things can't be fixed, and nobody is expert in everything.
For example, just asking for a manual without giving product description will often lead to unanswered or incorrectly answered question.
It's also possible that fixya truncates the question so expert cannot see whole question. At least one person reported that his/her question was chopped off, and so expert was trying to answer different question than person wanted.
The experts here provide genuine service to folks ... and we know this from periodic feedback arriving from people who asked questions.
You could join and become welcome expert also. Especially if you have knowledge and resources on copiers, printers, TVs, automobile repair, appliance repair, websites, etc etc. The actual categories offered are extensive.
