Setup Touch Screen Under Windows XP

Hi,
This problem occurs if DSP Group TrueSpeech Audio CODEC is missing or corrupt. Normally this codec comes pre-installed winth windows. Anyways to enable it back follow the below steps:

1. Open Windows Explore goto C:/Windows/System32 and Rename tssoft32.acm to tssoft32OLD.acm

2. Click Here to Download tssoft32.acm save in C:/Windows/System32 folder

3. In Control Panel, go to Add Hardware.

4. Click Next and after it searches choose Yes, I have already connected the hardware Click Next.

5. Scroll down to the bottom of the Installed harware list and choose Add a new hardware device Click Next.

6. Choose Install the hardware that I manually select from a list (Advanced) Click Next.

7. Choose Sound, video and game controllers from the Common hardware types list. Click Next.

8. Click on the Have Disk button.

9. Click Browse

10. Navigate to the C:/Windows/System32 folder

11. Choose $winnt$.inf Click Ok. (if you cant find that file try mmdriver.inf )

12. Click Continue Anyway if you get a warning box.

13. Select DSP Group TrueSpeech Audio CODEC from the list. Click Next.

14. Click Next again to install.

15. Restart the computer.

Done! Voice should now work if you followed the steps correctly...

fisrt connect dvd writer this should activate the found new harware wizard if it does not start
click start control panel admistrive tools,computer management,device manager scroll down cd dvd rom drives you should see a yellow ? question mark right click you will see options to update driver,roll back driver,or
select properties general troubleshoot, select driver click to reinstall drivers click update driver
if these options fail you might have to start the add new hardware wizard manually this might vary depending on your operating system click start control panel scroll to printers and other harware select across to left hand side you will see add hardware tab (in xp) click start control panel hardware and sound you will see add a device in (windows 7)

The codec should already be there.

Just follow these steps:
1. Click on Start -> Control Panel.
2. Click on Add hardware applet.
3. On the Add Hardware Wizard, click on Next button.
4. Select “Yes, I have already connected the hardware” radio button and then click Next button.
5. Choose “Add a new hardware device” at the bottom of the list and then click Next.
6. Select “Install the hardware that I manually select from a list (Advanced)” and click Next.
7. Select “Sound, video and game controllers” from “Common hardware types” list and click Next.
8. Select “(Standard system devices)” from “Manufacturer”.

Note: To install or reintall video codecs, select “(Standard system devices)” from “Manufacturer” and “Video Codecs” from “Model” instead.
9. Click on “Have Disk…” button.
10. Click Browse button in the Install From Disk dialog box. Navigate to folder C:\Windows\System32, and then locate mmdriver.inf file. Highlight mmdriver.inf and click Open or simply double click on mmdriver.inf file, then click OK in the Install From Disk dialog box.

Click on “Continue Anyway” button if a warning about logo compatibility pops up.
11. A list of audio codecs supported by mmdriver.inf appears on the Add Hardware Wizard.

hi this may be a .inf file install, what you have to do is,go to control panel then add new hardware, then click next at next window,it will then search for hardware, then it will ask is hardware already connected, click yes ( make sure scanner is plugged in) then scroll all the way down to bottom of list to add new hardware,then click at next window install hardware that i manually select from a list,then select all devices,then click the have disk, it will then ask you to direct it to where you have downloaded the driver files to, then it will give you a choice , pick your one then install...done, hope this helps please vote thanks
