Helpful

When you need frequent re.Syncronizing of your Touch or after 2-3 year
maybe you need to replace the battery.

you need:
a CR1632 3V Battery (about 2€)
a very tiny screw driver
a very sharp knife

With the knife remove the bottom of yout Tissot, (you do not need to unscrew) it's just a cover to pull up like in this imaged

Now you can clean with a soft brush & remove the dust.
Use the screw drive to replace the battery,
put back the cover & enjoy

Thanks a lot.
Done, replacing T-touch cell at CNY15 (e.q. US$2.2).
The 6 slots on the back cover are really misleading me to unscrew it.

It saves my CNY350 (US$ 51). As a watchsmith wants to rip me off that price.

Thanks for the info. Worked like a charm. But there is some type of diaphram picece inside that does not appear to be intact. Is it supposed to be a solid diaphram and if so what is it and how can it be replaced? Thanks

Thanks for posting this. Came in handy and saved me Euros. One thing I would like to add; there is a plastic ring/seal that will probably come off when opening the watch. No problem, just make sure you put it back around the COVER (so not inside the watch) before clicking the cover back on.

After six years my battery is low, so I took my Tissot Touch back to the shop where I bought it (in Bolene, France). The fellow there said it was a very complicated process and that the watch would have to be sent away to have a new battery installed. It would take two weeks and cost 100 Euros! Fortunately, I was returning to Canada in a few days so I kept my watch...

I too started unscrewing the back but decided it wasn't going to well! Your instructions were great. I would just add that the lugs on the battery cover are very weak and that the groove by the battery cover should be used to prise the cover off.

The instruction is perfect. Thanks! :-)

Earlier, took my Tissot Touch (T-series) watch to a watchmaker and the fool was trying to unscrew the bottom cover. Took my watch back and came home. Searched Google and presto - your page showed up. Followed the instructions and popped open the bottom cover in a snap. Isn't the Internet absolutely wonderful? :-)
