Tip & How-To about Attachmate EXTRA! X-treme

Fonts lost after installing X-treme 9

Attachmate does a a QFE (Quick Fix) available, but after installing x-treme 9 you see that some of the Lucida fonts are missing from Notepad or Word a quick manual fix is to go to the Control Panel and open the Fonts folder. Just opening the folder will register the missing font.

normail.dot is being used by another session when closing an Attachmate X-treme Session

This was fixed in an earlier release but the fix may have been dropped in V9. It happens even with SP2. The problem is that both Word and X-treme 9 have normal.dot template files. the solution is to rename the Attachmate Normal.DOT file.
