Make sure the Digitizer is set to Superset Code S01, it may also be a bad cable, check all of the cables for wear.
These units do go bad sometimes,so you may have to call GTCO and have them look at it.
They shouldn't charge for an evaluation.

how do i adjust the tone and volume of the board. its a Super L II Plus. Somehow I turned it off with the picture at the top. After turning it back on the only tone I can get is a sharp loud tone. I used to get a "ding" sound.

If this is really a SL II Plus there is no adjustment to volume.

The picture on the menu isn't a volume control. It turns on/off the alarm (beep).

The tones are sent by the controller at one volume, different tones indicate what the operator is doing at the tome.

Turning on digitizer = 4 beep tones
Selecting ponts = 1 beep tone

We can't activate the stylus. When our last estimatr was here everything worked fine. As soon as we went to use after he left we couldn't get to work. Any ideas?

Plug in the Digitizer and make sure you hear four (4) beeps and 4 beeps only.
Any other tone would indicate a problem.
If you get four beeps, try to set the Superset code to S01 by using the stylus, select S,then 0 then 1 and you should hear four beeps again.
If this doesn't work the pen may have gone bad, have an open wire inside the cable.
It would have to be replaced. If you have another transducer, pen or cursor, try those.

wont recognize gtco digitizer on start up

First reset digitizer and make sure you hear four beeps and only four beeps.
Check the cables from the Quikruler to the interface module, make sure they are in good condition, no cuts, breaks missing pins on connector.
Check cables from interface module to digitizer. A good way to check for an intermittent problem is to bend the cable at different points and check the display on the Quikruler to see if has reset.

Select S01 on the superset code with your stylus or cursor. You get get four sucess tones (beeps).

If none of this works check the firmware version on the digitizer, some J2.0 firmware may become corrupted. When the firmware becomes corrupted, you will hear three(3) medium tones on power-up.
If this is happening it will have to be serviced by GTCO.
