my fan doesnt seem to be working and laptop just shuts down after it gets hot

Hi, your laptop shuts down as a protection against overheating. It's important that you take the laptop right away to a service repair shop so it can get the fan replaced before other important components get damaged.

i dont knw why but my laptop heats up way too much and i knw there is some kinda system all laptops have which keeps your laptop cool, but it doesnt work with my laptop plus i dont hear the fan. can some one please help.....

Shut the lap top off completely do not use untill you replace the cooling fan. If you use it you will ruin it. You will have to have someone that knows what they are doing to replace this fan. For the sake of your sanity take it in and get a new fan installed now. John

fan, screen and battery problem in zv 5000

I've had the same type of problems with my computer- and after many attempts to fix it by trying new parts & such..... What it ended up being was the fan- My boyfriend decided to just go ahead & take it apart himself and when he handed me fan compartment thingy- I felt so sad for my poor computer!! It was full of dustbunnies! It caused my computer to work doubletime as it was slowly choking to its doom and was slowly causing other hardware failure due to the lack of me maintaining it from the inside, rather than just the outside. The saddest part is that for my laptop- in order to get to where the fan is located, the whole laptop had to be taken apart to even clean it out. If it wasn't for my b.f. my computer would have choked a long time ago!!! Thank goodness It's running fine- im still on it as we speak. :) hope this helps!

My Computer wont Start up

I got a new fan for my PC, but it was under warranty. Your PC does not know that the fan does not work until it overheats. So, you have some other problem. Try to start it without a battery, just plugged in, if it is a laptop. All anyone else will tell you is that if you get it on, you should reflash the bios. That always is what they tell you. I guess it can't hurt, but if it shuts off immediately, maybe you think you have full power but don't? That's what it is acting like, right? No power.
