Hard Reboot - To solve MOST problems

This is a tip on how to solve most of your PC problems when your laptop does not boot up.

1. REMOVE BATTERY AND AC ADAPTER.
2. PRESS AND HOLD POWER FOR 30-45 SECONDS.
3. CONNECT AC ADAPTER.
4. TURN ON.
5. ONCE BOOTED UP, PLACE BATTERY IN.

Please use an external monitor if necessary, and please do these:
1. Unplug the AC adapter,
2. Remove the battery,
3. Remove the hard drive,
4. Press the power button and hold it for 15 seconds,
5. Plug in the AC adapter,
Restart the laptop.
If the problem persist,
Note: Do not insert the battery, and do not install the hard drive.
1. Unplug the AC adapter
2. Reseat the memory (remove it and reinstall it),
3. Plug in the AC adapter,
Restart the laptop.
If those actions do not solve the problem, then your motherboard is dying.

1. Charge the battery for 2 hours,
2. Press the power button.

If the laptop does not start, you can do this:
Please use the VGA port (VGA external monitor), also please do these:
1. Unplug the AC adapter,
2. Remove the battery,
3. Remove the hard drive,
4. Press the power button and hold it for 15 seconds,
5. Plug in the AC adapter,
Restart the laptop.
If the problem persist,
Note: Do not insert the battery, and do not install the hard drive.

my toshiba l655powers on using the dc cable and battery, but will not display anything. I can hear it boot, but nothing shows. I have hooked it up to a tv using a hdmi cable, but it shows no signal.

will not start


Try draining the flea power first:

1. Remove the battery and ac adapter
2. Press and hold the power button for at least 10sec.
3. Put back the battery and ac adapter
4. Turn on the computer

Check if it will load to windows, if not, there could be a problem with windows. Try startup repair on advanced boot options. Hope this helps.

screen become black but laptop still turn on
