Tip & How-To about Back to Basics TEM-500 Egg & Muffin 2-Slice Toaster

Keep your eggs from sticking to the pan

I always use a little Crisco or Pam spray (spray over the sink, not on the unit). This keeps the egg from sticking.

I cant turn the rotater chute all the way to the right

is there a mechanical stop that prevents it from going all the way ? or does it just need lubrication , I use Crisco shortening as it sticks to gears on chute mech. and it washes up easy if you get it on your clothes (a lot easier than grease) , also it keeps chute ice from sticking to it , pam cooking spray works ok too

How do I keep corn bread from sticking in the Nordicware scone/cornbread pan?

If Pam For Baking nonstick cooking spray does not help, grease and flour generously with plain shortening, like Crisco. Do not overbake.

How to make scrambled eggs in your glass corning Ware pan Without sticking.

brush a little butter inside and make sure it is hot enough before adding eggs. Bakers use a margarine/shortening blend then dust with flour before adding cake batter etc. Pam spray acts the same using oil coated flour, but may add odours/flavours.

Sticking is a real problem no matter how well I season the plates, impossible to remove waffle on one piece

Putting cooking oil in the batter will help some. Use Pam (or similar) to help keep the waffles from sticking. Spray the bottom plate, add the batter, spray the top plate and close. I'm not sure why, but the first waffle is never as good as the ones after it. But this always works for us.

Hope this helps,
