Aldough you should know the procedure of doing it,and how to protect yourself from losing valuable memory parts (pics,vids,documents,mesages,set-ups,themes,etc...)

First of all,your phone should be ''Samsung'' brand.If not, then I am not responsible If something else hapened,and not guilty 'cause you didn't read ''FOR SAMSUNG ONLY''.

Ok,now if you want to do this right, you should save all memory you do not want to lose to any other memory than the phone memory.That includes memory cars,SIM cards, and if needed, send it to computer via infrared/bluetooth, or to another mobile,just in case you can't do all prev things,and you need those files after the procedure (simply file transfer it back)
Ok,now that you have done all of these things in proper order,succesfully saving all the things you need,you should do the folowing:
Depending of what you need, choose the folowing.You will enter the sequence EXACTLY as I typed it here, and with #/* signs also.You will enter them the same way you are entering a number to make a call.
Before you do this, I strongly advise you to READ the text bellow the marked one, that says ''WARNING''

BEFORE YOU DO IT, make sure you did all the things i prev wrote.This will delete some of the settings on the phone,changing the phone themes to default,phone menu appearance,sometimes phone/call/message ring tones,on some phones messages(and MMS),return all internet settings to default,and possibly deleting your network call center number,and INCLUDING the very same things you could not open,'cause it was password protected.So, if you cannot save these things to another memory spot than your phone memory, I advise you NOT TO make these resets,'cause you WILL lose all you needed to unlock in the first place.

Ok...If you do not know your PW for your phone try the last four of the cell phone number...If that doesn't work you have to do a hard reset, which requires you going to a corporate store.

Hello everyone, I am "Desparate", I don't want to have to send my phone into AT&T and they charge me or something like that. I have a Samsung A437 and I can't remember my password. Is there a way I can use some "Master" reset code and restore it atleast to factory defaults? I told my boss that my cell phone is acting up and I am about to go out of town on business but I want to have it fixed before I depart. Try typing #pwd# and then "send. It will reset your password to the the last 4 digits of your phone number. Then you can reset your password back to what ever one you can remember.

on some network this code will reset your voicemail passowrd

open up your phone and type it EXACTLY like shown. it should look like you are attempting to make a call.

BEWARE!!!!!!!!

this WILL delete everything on it and revert it to factory settings, so i recommend that you save everything of value onto a memory card, and upload ALL your contacts to your SIM. to do that:

1. open up the address book

2. options

3. OPTION 13: COPY TO SIM _OR_ OPTION 14: MOVE TO SIM

when that is done, punch in the code.

you should get some text saying not to do anything and that it will reset when its done [note the improper grammar, haha :)]

thats it!

remember that it WILL DELETE EVERYTHING off of your phone, so i HIGHLY recommend that you back everything up onto a memory card.
