Tip & How-To about LG CHOCOLATE VX8500 Cellular Phone

Battery Water Damage

When you get a brand new phone, beware do not allow any moisture or water around your phone. I say this because the new phones have water detecting stickers near the battery and when this display that there was water damage the phone carrier may not help you with problems regarding your battery. HOW TO REPAIR WATER DAMAGE GT-S5620 BRAND NEW

First of all, do not turn it on, it could cause more damage to your phone. Take out the battery, and completely dry the phone before trying to use again.
Here is the procedure to take out all moisture trapped in the phone: Dry the phone, battery, any accessory, etc. with cloth and wrap each piece, phone and accessories, in newspaper. Place a few handfuls of rice into a plastic bag and then place the wrapped phone in the bag with rice. The newspaper wrapping avoids direct contact of rice with your phone because the dust from the rice can get into the small areas of the phone. The newspaper and rice will absorb moisture. Leave it there (with the bag open) at least 24 hrs. Hope this helps!

some buttons on the keypad won't work

I strongly recommend consulting the supplier, he/she is bound to know what to do, they may also give you a new handset!!, by the way may i comment on the good phone!!, but yeah, if they are unable to help, take it to a certified phone shop/dealer, they will know what to do!! BUT DO NOT mess around with it yourself!!, this could void your warranty and may definitely do more harm than good! is there any water damage, i have researched and found that this problem happens A LOT when there is water damage on the phone, check the moisture on the battery, there should be a moisture detector on the top of the phone, if this is pink, than it has been affected by water damage, ive also found someone who used SEUS to flash his phone, he said that the buttons were stuck and he had the same problem as you, when he flashed it he said that the phone had restored itself! i recommend trying it yourself BUT BEWARE that you can void your warranty if you do so!! but definitely contact the owner first!

hope this helps and keep ion touch!
