Insall battery easily and cheaply
WARNING: DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS OPERATION UNLESS YOU DO NOT PLAN TO UTILIZE A WARRANTY AND OR INSURANCE. OPERATION WILL NULLIFY
1: Buy a new battery for your specified pda model(EBAY,AMAZON)
2: Preform a pda to pc sync if possible
3: Buy or or make sure you will recieve a pda screw driver
4: Unscrew back, be gentle
5: Gently remove back with a flathead screwdriver
6: Locate the battery cable
7: Disconnect the battery from the pda
8: Connect new battery/ reattach back

changing the backup battery of hw6500 series do not need soldering. It is quite easy actually.

hw6900 series require soldering but backup battery of hw6515 and hw6510 does not require soldering
as you can see the photo of the backup battery at below link, the backup battery looks like a watch battery, there are no pins for soldering

I've got a HP6515h. Are you sure that the battery is connected to battery cable. As far as I know this site http://www.ipaqrepair.co.uk/view_product... reports that soldering must be done.
