Tip & How-To about Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX8 Digital Camera

Reset the panasonic dmc-fx8 digital camera

Hi, i'm not sure if it is a full reset, but it worked for me. i've an fx8. i had a problem 2 weeks ago. my objective didn't want to close when i switched the camera off. it remained open. when i switched the camera on again, the objetcive has closed and opened again, and the _Turn Off the Camera and Turn On again_ message appeared on the sisplay. and remained in open position after switching it off. i tried some button combination, like menu button on, and power the camera on. it didn't work, but the second was pressing the shotting button and holding it down while powering on the machine combination. an it worked, my camera did some kind of reset. it returned to the original position, and everithing is working since then. the time and other settings didn't changed. anyone knows other key combination?

Hi, 1and half years ago I bought a HDR-HC9E. I didn't use it alot, but now I have started to use it. I've made 5 cassets in 5 days and everyday I have copied in my macbook pro without problem. Today I have tryed several times but the computer couldn't recognize my camera. I've tryed with other 3 firewire cables, and I've tryed in another mac of my friend but it was the same. So, no computer problem, no cable problem, it means that my camera has some problem? Do you know what kind of problem? Best regards Marcandrea

I'm sorry for the difficulties you're experiencing as the i.LINK connection from the Camcorder is not recognized by two different Computers. Since the issue persists with two computers, it seems that the issue is with the Camcorder itself.

I suggest that you try resetting the Camcorder and check if that helps. To reset the Camcorder, please press the reset button behind the LCD screen using a sharp pointed object. Also make sure that the Camcorder is turned ON when pressing the reset button. You can locate the RESET button from the below picture.

If the issue persists after resetting, service may be required. However, please click hear to view the troubleshooting steps recommended by Sony. I have reviewed it and found that you have already performed all these steps. However, please check whether you missed something.

Thanks for understanding. Please let me know if you require any clarifications.

Hello, I've got a Daewoo 5200btu window a/c that I

sounds like a direct short. Changing the plug and circuit protection may not eliminate the problem, but it would let you know for sure. I would not change that plug without ground fault interruption.

AVIC-N2 stopped working and wont stop flashing PLEASE HELP!

Sound like the ribbon cable because before breaking off completely the vibration of the engine can cause current to fade in and out(open and close circuit).
