Tip & How-To about Cats

Feeding a kitten

Bringing a kitten home is very exciting. You have a new friend at home and it looks so adorable. First thing you must know is that kittens grow fast and they grow a lot! Its' weight can double or even triple during this time. That's why they need much more calories than adult cats and should be fed more times per day(4-6 times). If you find a kitten that's less than four weeks old, feed it kitten milk replacer, not cow's milk, as it doesn't have the all the required nutrition. After four weeks of mother's milk, kittens make their transfer to kitten food, and it's time for you to feed it right. During this time, emphasis should be on high quality protein (meat, poultry or fish), vitamins, and minerals. Fat and carbs should be given in the same amount as for adult cats.My suggestion is to buy high quality products specifically for kittens in pet stores like Petco and online at websites like pet food direct (these products have everything the kitten needs). What should you not feed a kitten? Under no circumstances should you feed a kitten dog food, chocolate, cooked bones, or cow's milk. Cats should receive kitten food pretty much from the 4th-5thweek until they are one year old.

I have a 10 week old male kitten. He does use the litterbox but very early in the mornings he likes to do the number one on my bed. What to do???you

at 12 weeks a kitten should leave its mother. it may not seam much but they learn from their mother, if offend you should keep them to one room so they get used to the surroundings. they will want to explore but while you are a sleep keep them in just the one room with food water and a place he will know where to go loo. in day time let him explore with you around home. this is how the mother would do. then take him back to the room with food and loo. dont let the kitten move around the house while you are asleep. this is for the kittens safety, they will eat and bite things they should not. hope this helps.

gameboy advance catz instructions

In beginning, your kitten won't let you to pick it up. You may have to use CARRY quite few times before actually picking up your kitten. When you do "CARRY" on your kitten, it will gain some stats. But it's only very low number, usually FRIEND / LOOKS / MOOD will gain from it.

Does my new kitten need an ID tag?

While yourkitten is still at home with you all the time it doesn't need an ID tag, butonce it grows a little it's worth investing in one. Even indoor cats escapefrom the house sometimes.
