Hello sir; It depend on where the paper got jam, if jam at the point when paper take off, then you have clean up paper pick up roller or replace it, if jam inside the machine then have to clean up paper feed roller, if jam at the end, check the paper exit senser, make sure it moving freely.

Paper jams no matter what stock I use; Lexmark e232

Slipping paper feed rollers is probably causing the jamming. Remove the paper tray and tip the machine back so that you can access the feed rollers from underneath. A good technique to isolate this problem is to remove the rubber feed tires, turn them inside-out and refit them. If it now works OK you need to get new feed rollers.

Where is the machine saying the jam is located? Does the paper even start to feed? Does the paper feed to the next feed area? If the machine sounds like it is feeding ( trying to feed) and the paper is still in the tray --- clean the feed roller/ tire with rubber restorer or a high alcohol base cleaner. IF the paper is fed part way out of the tray to the long ( most of the time) black reg. roller and now farther --- clean the reg. roller. There is always the chance that you have a bad feed motor or reg. motor. Also look to see if an actuator / switch has been pulled / knocked out of position. They is is small cradles and can be snapped back into place.

Sounds like feed tires are dirty or warn-out. if you can see the rubber piece that feeds the paper, Inspect if it looks dried-out or has imperfections try to clean with rubbing alcohol, use the most lint free cloth as possible. This can also happen when using office depot or staples or CHEAP PAPER These papers carry a lots of paper dust try switching paper. If none of this works the feed tires proberly will need to be replaced contact a local copier company: Chuck The Copier Guy

Paper jams

The feedrollers are most likely worn out. Maybe not smoothe but just tacky.
You can try removing the paper tray. Then take some cleaner, alcohol or some liquid soapy cleaner, fantstic, or soemting like that, and clean the rubber rollers. Clean them 2 or 3 times with a cloth dampned with the cleaner.
since the jams are in the tray, I am sure those rollers are either dirty or smoothe.
If you need more info let me know and I will send you my E-mail address so you can order and replace them on your own if you don't have a maintenance agreement with someone.
