Tip & How-To about Sony Cameras

Camera len problem/lens going in and out or stuck in or out.

Gently pulling and turning, yes gentle/ if this doesn't work, gently but firmly tap whole back of camera on palm of hand. There are a lot of these same suggestions for this problem. Be gentle and also wipe around lenses think dirt and dust and knocks to lens causes this problem.Maybe moisture with dirt dust and salt air. Unavoidable unless you live in a vacuum.MY FRIEND IS GOING TO BE SO HAPPY THAT I FIXED HER CAMERA. She was going o throw it away. Thank you FixYa.

I have a sanyo vpc e1090 digital camera. it is reading lens error 0x0000 when it is turned on. it makes a hum noise then shuts right back off.

The lens is stuck. If you can't GENTLY pull it open, try lightly tapping the camera on a firm surface to see if it dislodges any debris. If that won't work it must go in for repair.

Why i can't open my camera flash

It's either jammed by debris or there is a mechanical failure in the release lock. Try GENTLY raising the flash by hand and if that doesn't work, GENTLY tap the camera on a firm surface to see if that dislodges anything blocking the flash.

mi cameras lens has refused to go back

Hello Andrew, With the batteries removed try gently pushing the lens back in with the palm of your hand, GENTLY being the word. If you are able to push it back in then install batteries and turn it on.
Best Regards, Russell

Error code E45 when powering on. It is a V705

Try tapping the side of lens, or smacking the camera gently on the palm of your hand when it's on, then restart the camera. It could be a problem with the lens mechanism, and the gentle, yet firm tapping may help.

Lens error,restart camera

My Camera: Canon PowerShot SD770 IS Digital Camera

Went to the beach yesterday, by the end of the night my camera gave me this error: "lens error, restart camera". The lens would no longer come out.

I figured sand got stuck within the lens, so I did the following:

1. Turn camera up-side-down (with lens facing down)
2. Gently tap the sides of the camera (to loosen particles in lens)
3. Turn camera on
4. The lens will eventually come out
5. Gently tap the sides of the lens
6. Turn camera off (continue tapping side of lens as it retracts)

I turned the camera on and off a couple of times to ensure I removed all sand particles from the camera.

Now the camera works...thank god.
