Tip & How-To about Microsoft Video Game Consoles & Games

General Maintenance for Xbox 360.

Just some general maintenance tips for your xbox 360.
1. Making sure to leave the box flat on the ground as when put standing up it can shake and cause damage to discs.
2. Never ever move your xbox while a disc is running inside. This will usually result in the disc being damaged.
3. Keep the xbox in a well ventilated place. Overheating can occur if your not careful.
4. Ensure the xbox is free from dust especially around the vents as again this can cause over heating.

Thanks and hope these tips are useful!

When i tip my xbox 360 it makes a weird noise then scratches the disk until it is unreadable.

Moving the Xbox 360 while turned on can result in the disc spinning against hard plastic resulting in deep circular scratches. When moving the Xbox, make sure it is empty of discs and the power is off. It is recommended to have the Xbox parallel to the ground but you may also stand it up for convenience purposes.

My X box 360 keeps having open tray on the screen. I have put in several games but this keeps coming up....

This has happened to me before also the disk tray has lost alignment with the laser the best thing is to wiggle the disk tray around while its outside the x-box and sometimes even shaking the xbox while turned off may solve this problem. Hope this helps please leave a good rating

my xbox 360 keeps puting scratches on my games

check to see if anything is obscuring the disc tray on opening and closing.
If there isnt check the disc make sure its smooth and flat no bumps and not bent

if there is noises like grinding when playing it may be a part inside causing this

i suggest calling xbox because i dought u want to risk doing this to other games.

please rate. thank you
