Tip & How-To about Water Heaters

Emergency water supply

When a storm hits or other things go wrong we need water. We can go for two to thee weeks with no food, But at best we can only go three days with out water.Your water heater is a stores 40, 50 60 gallons of water. for a family of 4 that could last you 10 days with some left over. Its your life and family proteect them.
What you need to do. First make sure you have to good working valves on your water heater one on the hot side and one on the cold side. You need to flush out your tank every year. Then let's say a hurricane is heading right for you. All you need to do is close off both the hot and cold water valves. Have a 4 foot section of hose that you cleaned before the storm. Now you need to get water.
Hook up your hose to the drain on the heater, OPEN the relief valve to let air in. Open the drain valve get the water you need and close both valves. Clean water you can drink right away. Save your family fire, shelter, water this first things we need to live

If you don't want to test, then do step 3 below and see if problem persists, and then move out from there.

1) Circuit breaker not making full contact.
