You will find a variety of software applications on Android Market;
you can use to connect your Android phone with Microsoft Outlook. You need to
decide if you want to download a free application or one that is able to
synchronize your emails, contacts and calendars with the purchase of Outlook.
Use your Gmail account to log on to the market and then a software application
that is compatible with your choice.
1. Go to the Home screen of your Android phone and tap the
"market" icon. Tap on the "Gmail" and enter your user
account information. Then tap the "Sign In" log on to the Android
Market. Enter the keywords "Outlook Sync" in the text box at the top
of the screen. Tap the magnifying glass (search button) when finished.
2. Scroll through the list of software applications until
you see what you want to download. For free software applications such as
Android Sync Manager, Outlook, and Reflex HTC Sync Manager you can use Outlook
to connect to your Android phone. If you decide to buy a software application
for the Android Market, be sure that your credit card information ready for the
online transaction.
3. Tap the "Install" button after you have found
an application that you want to use. Then tap the "OK" button to
confirm your application on your mobile phone.
4. Touch the icon of synchronization of Outlook that you
just installed on your phone. Keep in mind, the user instructions for various
types of Outlook synchronization software for Android phones vary.
5. Tap the "Sync Settings". Check the boxes next
to each item you want to synchronize your phone with Android, such as personal
calendars and contacts folders. Tap "Save" when finished.
6. Return to "Home" screen on your phone. Select
"Menu" and select "Settings" and "Applications."
Check the box next to "USB debugging" to the checkbox.
7. Close Microsoft Outlook. Make sure the application is
open and running on your computer. Connect the USB cable that came with your
Android phone to an available USB port on your computer. Windows will
automatically detect the device. Click the "Synchronize Now" button.
8. Wait until the synchronization is complete. Turn off your
Android phone from your computer.
