How to sync Gmail and your Android Hero

The HTC Hero runs the Android operating system. Thus, it is installed with the Google apps, and you have a Google account to fully benefit from the phone to take. By default, the hero syncs with your Gmail account. However, you can change this option. If you want to get to sync your Gmail with your HTC Hero again, you can.


1. Press the "Home".


2. Press the "Menu" button.


3. Tap "Settings" and "data synchronization".


4. Touch Google.


5. Touch the "Automatic" to your Gmail account automatically synchronized with the Hero. Touch the "Google Mail" box to sync only once.

You might have lost all your information, but there is hope. The HTC Hero runs Google's operating system for mobile phones called Android. Now when you sign in on an android phone with your gmail account, it will automatically sync your contacts, calendar, and email in the cloud. All you have to do is open one of the Google applications like Gmail or Market place and enter your Gmail username and password. That should do the trick and all your information should be good as new.

The best thing to try is to do a factory reset on the phone to get it back to factory status. I've had to do this on my Android phone a few times. make sure to back up your data first. After you do this, see if you can access your accounts on Google before installing anything else.

Download and install HTC Sync 3.0

Turn on the "Data Connection" feature of your phone (usually configured by the mobile operator)
To enable it:
  • From the Home screen, select MENU>Settings > Wireless & networks> Mobile networks > Check the box next to "Data Connection"
  • Connect your phone to the computer using the USB cable, the synchronisation process is an easy one.
  • In the Connect to PC interface, select "Internet sharing" option and tap on the Done button.
