The iPod touch is connected to a computer as a portable USB
device, allowing you to copy files and if it were a USB flash drive. Apple does
not emphasize this fact, because the iPod Touch owners to use iTunes to sync
all file types. You can transfer music from your iPod Touch without iTunes
copying, but discovering the hidden folders on the device.
1. Connect your iPod Touch to the computer via the USB
cable. The cable supplied with the installation package of the iPod Touch.
2. Turn on the computer. Click the "Start" button
and then select Control Panel. Double click on the "Portable Media
Devices" icon. Try to use the iPod icon in the list of available devices.
Double click this icon.
3. Click the Tools menu in the new window opens. Select
"Options" and select "Show hidden files and folders."
4. Double-click the folder named "\ iPod_Control Music
\". This folder contains all audio files on the device. All files are
divided into sub-folders by artist. Click and drag an audio file of folders on
your desktop computer. Windows will start copying the files to your hard drive.
You can also click and drag the "iPod_Control \ Music" folder for all
the desktop for all the songs on the iPod Touch to copy.
