Delete a web site on iPod

The iPod Touch is an MP3 player that has the capability of surfing the web if you have a Wi-Fi connection.

The browser that is pre-installed in the iPod Touch is called Safari, and it automatically saves your browsing history.

If you want to retain your privacy, however, you must delete the web pages that you have visited. There is no way to turn off automatic saves, so delete your history manually.

It's a good idea to clear your history often in order to protect passwords and other private data.
Turn on your iPod Touch and go to the home screen.

Scroll down to the "Settings" button and tap it.
Tap on the web browser icon, which is called Safari.

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and tap "Clear History," "Clear Cookies," and "Clear Cache."
Your bookmarks will stay intact.

Try clearing cookies and temp internet files. At the top of the browser screen click the tools icon (looks like a gear, top right screen) and hover over safety, click delete browsing history. Uncheck the history box if you want to keep your browsing history and click delete. Restart the browser.

my computor is taking a long time to get onto web site

Hi there,

Usually this occurs due to various reasons. I would suggest a few steps to troubleshoot the issue.

Open the web browser you're using to browse the pages. Check for the tool bars that may be installed.These toolbars gets installed automatically while downloading any applications or files in the Computer. If any toolbars are installed please uninstall them. These toolbars can slow down connecting to the internet.

In order to uninstall these toolbar, perform the below steps:

1. Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs.
2. Under Change or Remove Programs, check the presence of the name of the toolbar in the list of installed programs.
3. Please uninstall the program from the list and check if this resolves the issue.
After performing the above, I would recommend you to restart the Computer once before you access the internet.

I would also suggest that you try deleting cookies, history files and temporary internet files.Please view the below article to view the steps:
"http://www.kb.sony.com/selfservice/documentLink.do?externalId=C1002435"

I would also suggest that you disable the Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6). Please refer the below article to view the steps:
"http://www.kb.sony.com/selfservice/documentLink.do?externalId=C1007556"

Also try using different web browsers like Firefox, Safari, Opera etc., and check if the issue still persists.

I would also suggest that you boot the Computer into Safe mode with Networking option. Please refer the below article to view the steps to start the Computer in "Safe mode with Networking" option.
"http://www.kb.sony.com/selfservice/documentLink.do?externalId=C170681"

Please check if the browser is still taking a lot of time to open a web page. If the web page open normally, then I guess it is required to upgrade RAM of the Computer.

Please check whether the issue started after installing any application. If yes, try uninstalling the application and check if this resolves the issue.

If the web page opens slowly, then I suggest that you reinstall the Operating System.

Regards,
Mithun

It wont let me sign up. It just loads and caput! doesnt do a thing. Just kind of loads nothing. Does nothing makes me mad.please help me thankyou

First, try to access the web site in a different computer that is connected to a different network. There are times that the site itself has the problem and not the computer.

If you can access the site in a different computer, then the problem has something to do with the internet browser that you are using. Try to use different internet browsers (i.e. Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera). OR, you may optimize your browser. Here's how:

* For Internet Explorer:

1. Run Internet Explorer and click on 'Tools' menu.
2. Go to Internet Options and locate the Browsing History section.
3. Click the 'Delete' button and delete the Temporary Internet Files, Cookies and History.
4. Close the Internet Explorer and re-open it.
5. Access your e-mail.

* For Mozilla Firefox:

1. Run Firefox and hit 'Tools' menu.
2. Go to 'Clear Recent History' and click the drop-down arrow for 'Time range to clear'.
3. Select 'Everything' and then click the line beside details.
4. Check browsing & download history, form & search history, cookies, cache.
5. Click "Clear Now" button.
6. Close and re-open Firefox.
7. Access your e-mail.

* For Safari:

1. Open the Safari.
2. Click the Safari menu (right beside the Apple icon) and select "Empty Cache".
3. When asked "Are you sure you want to empty the cache?", click "Empty".
4. Click the Safari menu (right beside the Apple icon) then go to "Preferences".
5. From the security dialog box, click "Bookmarks".
6. Click on "Show Cookies" button and then hit "Remove All" button.
7. Select "Done".
8. Access your email.

Thank you and good luck!
