Tip & How-To about Computers & Internet
MediaMonkey is a music and third-party media player that
lets you manage and organize music on your computer; you would like iTunes or
Windows Media Player. As is the case with both programs, MediaMonkey is a tool
to manage music on your iPod. Unlike one of these programs, however,
MediaMonkey lets you download free music, not just from your computer to your
iPod, but also from your iPod back to your computer.
1. Download and install MediaMonkey
(http://www.mediamonkey.com/download/) on your computer if you have not done
so. Open your "Start" menu and click "MediaMonkey" icon to
start the program.
2. Connect your iPod to your computer. Wait 50-10 seconds to
MediaMonkey to the device, when it appears at the bottom of the navigation pane
that runs along the left side of the program to recognize.
3. Double-click the name of your iPod content on the main
window of MediaMonkey. Drag the songs from your iPod to your MediaMonkey
"Library" to transfer to the hard drive of your computer.
4. Manually transfer songs from computer to your iPod by
dragging them individually from your library MediaMonkey the name of your
device in the navigation program. Alternatively, "Sync" click away
from the "Tools" menu on your device to sync with MediaMonkey - all
numbers that appear in your MediaMonkey library will also be on your iPod.
