Tip & How-To about Computers & Internet

Taking pictures on the cover of an album on an iPod Touch

Music files can be embedded with album art for display on MP3 players. Since most files have an album cover, this without them would be when a device likes the iPod Touch. Apple iTunes users can add or delete album covers. There is no way to change the album art through the device itself. The addition of cover, you have an easier time choosing the album from a list.

1. Open iTunes.

2. Go to your "Library".

3. Highlight the song or songs you want to add album art.

4. Right-click and choose a song "Get Info".

5. Select the "Artwork" tab. Here you can add or remove the album art embedded into the file or files. Add an image, click "Add" and navigate to the image of your choice to find. Click "OK" when finished.

6. Synchronize your computer with the iPod Touch update album art for the device.

Go to the sytem Settings menu and go to this option:
Display Art in Lists
Enabling this feature displays a small image of the song album cover, audiobook
cover, and photos when scrolling through list of these items.
1. Scroll down to Display Art in Lists and select it.
2. Use thumbwheel to switch between On (enable) and Off (disable).

If changing this option to enable fials to resolve the issue, the solution is a bit painful: You will have to manually add the artwork to each single song within an album in Windows Media Player 11, delete the song that is missing the artwork off your sansa, and re-add the songs again after you are done manually ediitng the artwork.

Manually add album art (WMP 11)
1. Run WMP.
2. Click Library on the top bar.
3. Select and right-click the file(s) you wish to update and select Advanced Tag Editor.
4. Click the Picture tab, then click Add.
5. Navigate to the image you wish to use for album art then click Open.

Album art not loading

I not entirely 100% sure, but the album art is only supported with WMA, as the album art image is embedded inside of the wma files themselves and not stored separately on the mp3 player.

C cover art does not transfer to my zen vision m, only the music tracks transfer

A few possibilities. Go to http://193.95.171.83/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE/,/?St=224,E=0000000000373151655,K=1742,Sxi=15,Case=obj(8179),Kb=ww_english_add,VARSET=ws:http://us.creative.com/

for more details

Creative ZEN players do not currently support album art from Rhapsody version 4.0.
Album art is either embedded in a track, or exists as a thumbnail image in a separate file, allowing one album art file to be associated with an album. Currently, Rhapsody only supports album art embedded in the track. Future versions of Rhapsody are expected to support thumbnail versions.
Creative Media Explorer or Windows Media Player 10 or 11 can be used to transfer music purchased from Rhapsody to a player with album art included.

Album Art is supported by Creative ZEN, Creative ZEN V Plus, ZEN V, Vision:M and ZEN Vision players.
The ZEN Vision (PF1150) requires a firmware update for Album Art. You can download the updated firmware:
If you experience any difficulty transferring Album Art with Windows Media Player 10 or 11, to ZEN Vision:M, delete WMPInfo.xml (see below), and then transfer the tracks again.
