Subary(2010 Outback) ignition key remote door lock function
My 2010 Subaru Outback (Euro spec) has for a long time been bugged with intermittent functioning of the kemote unloc/lock of the ignition key. I changed the battery several times, mistakenly thinking this was the cause. However, when I disassembled the remote unit of the ignition key, I found that the battery contact for the positive pole had come loose from the printed curcuit Board, given intermittent power to the module.
I turned out that the printed curcuit Board can be extracted by gently prying open the Remote unit holding the battery and the Electronics inside. The battery pole contact can then be soldered back in place as a remedy of the problem. As this had happened to both keys fairly parallely I suspect a production or design flaw. Anyway, soldering it back up saved me a lot of money for potentially replacing both keys/Remotes.
The attached pictures are marked up with repair advise for anyone who wants to give it ago with the soldering iron.

Where is the cooling sensor for a subaru impreza?
Most Subaru's have the cooling sensor in the coolant connection pipe that runs under the intake manifold and connects the LH and RH engine cooling galleries. There are different colour sensors, what meant they have a different resistance to meet the temperture gauge, make sure you fit the same colour.
Trunk wont open
It should open with the key even if the cable won't. Does the lever have the same feel to it or does it seem like it isn't connected any more?

Hello and welcome to FixYa!
You may just have system failure. As a first course of action, I strongly suggest that you remove the positive battery connector and let it sit for atleast 5mins. before reconnecting it. This will reset the system and can get your vehicle back to it's normal operation.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

This button must be pressed while programming remotes or if the battery was disconnected and the lights are flashing.

You will have to deactivate the security system first because the security is blocking the ignition or cutting the supply of fuel or the electrical system of the car. There is an error in the security settings of the car.
I will advice you reprogram the cars security settings to be able to use the car properly.
