Pioneer PDP-5020FD 50 in. Plasma HDTV - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Plasma screen has spider cracks...can it be fixed or replaced?
The short answer would be No to both questions, screens are highly technical in their manufacture and as a result make up between half and three quarters of a devices cost of TV's.
It will get worse sadly and end up as scrap or spares, screens do exist but mostly for say monitors or hand type devices (Tablets etc) but most I have seen are salvaged or "new" seconds that failed quality tests in some way.
Check your contents insurance for damage cover? to offset getting a new one.
Hope this helps............

My tv wont turn on
Fault with the main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and precious time.

How do i connect head phones to pioneer pdp 5071pu TV
This model has no headphone out put. In the rear panel there are two monitor audio outputs which could drive headphones, but I think the volume output to a possible monitor matches the tv loudspeaker output, and may not turn off the audio separately.

Music too loud and drowns out the speech . WHY ????
I also had this problem. I read elsewhere that this happens when your TV's audio setting are set to surround sound when you don't actually have a 5-speaker system. I changed the settings to regular stereo and it fixed the problem perfectly.

PIONEER TV RED LIGHTS
Hi Miquel. If the unit does not start but stays in standby with the red light on, then the TV is in forced standby mode because an internal problem has been detected.Try disconnecting power cord for ten minutes. If that does not help, then the TV must be tested and repaired.Regards.Ginko

Pioneer PDP-6020 FD, Menu items grayed, no HMG after firmware upd
I have the same issue - Pioneer told me the local repair shop could reset the firmware, I paid the $90 service call and they could not fix anything. For a 18 month old $5000 TV they now want me to replace the digital board for around $500.

My brandnew Pioneer PDP-5020FD won't turn on.
Check page 9 of this document:
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/StaticFiles/Manuals/Home/PDP-5020FD_OperatingInstructions0610.pdf
You will see that there is a power button on the bottom right corner of the back of the unit (item 25). Turn the unit on using that first.

Power light stays on but screen never lights up
You will have a fault in either of your sustain boards. Possibly just a fuse open circuit but more likely to be something more serious on the driver circuit. the best remedy would be to contact your service centre especially if it is still under warrenty.

No power to tv
If there is no power to tv, remove rear panel and check the fuse. If the fuse is good, the power supply will need to be replaced

The screen has a crack in it too
If the screen is cracked, sorry to tell you but you need to replace the entire screen. If it is under warranty contact the manufacturer to find some cost effective options. Replacing the screen may be almost as expensive as buying a whole new TV of the same model.

I'm seeing a white blinking lines either on the
If it's a horizontal line then its the TV service you are using. This also happens with cablevision and Verison FIOS services. You might be able to look into your menu settings on the TV and adjust this.
