Hard reset of my hp ipaq 510 i forgot my password

s.gifs.gifHP iPAQ 500 Voice Messenger Series - Resetting the DeviceSometimes you need to reset your iPAQ if, for example, it is not responding to your pressing a button or your tapping the screen. There are two types of resets.
  • Soft Reset - A soft reset stops all running applications, but does not erase any programs or saved data.
  • Factory or Hard Reset - A factory or hard reset clears all user-installed settings, programs, and data, and restores your iPAQ to factory settings.
Performing a Soft ResetPerform a normal or soft reset to stop all running applications, to restart the iPAQ after installing a new application, or if the iPAQ locks up.CAUTION:Make sure to close all running applications before performing a soft reset, since a soft reset erases all unsaved data in such applications.Perform a soft reset using one of these two options.
  • Turn off the iPAQ by holding down the End key.c01118005.jpg1 - End Key
  • Remove the battery of your iPAQ.
Performing a Factory or Hard ResetPerform a factory or hard reset when there is a need to clear all settings, programs, and data from the RAM.CAUTION:Performing a hard reset will return the iPAQ to its default settings and it loses all information (files and settings, among others) that is not recorded in the ROM. Back up all important information or data before performing a hard reset.Follow these steps to perform a hard reset and return your iPAQ to factory settings.
  1. Turn off your iPAQ by holding down the End key.
  2. Then hold down the center of the 4-Way Navigation key and turn on the iPAQ again while continuing to do so.c01118006.jpg1 - 4-Way Navigation Key2 - End Key
  3. A confirmation screen opens asking whether you want to perform a hard reset or not. SelectYes . The iPAQ will reboot with its original factory settings.
NOTE:The applications and data present on your iPAQ before performing the hard reset can be reinstalled by synchronizing your iPAQ with a computer using ActiveSync/WMDC (Windows Mobile Device Center).NOTE:If you don't want the iPAQ playing a tune after you turn it on, create a new text document and save the document as StartUp.wav. Replace this new document with the file on your device.

I have a hp ipaq and the screen cracked, i cannot

Easy and lazy way. Just turn on your phone, connect it to a USB port, use Windows Mobile Device Center without synchronizing it, and go to main folder of your phone and copy your *.pim files from root folder to another place. When you have another Windows Mobile (same version or newer), just paste that file on your root folder of your new mobile phone. That's it.

I need to block a mobile number.

Wlcome to FixYa
Do Following:
  • Determine the number that you wish to block. If it's a harassing call, write down the number that appears on your caller ID. If the number is coming from an automated system, you may need to call the owner of the institution responsible for the calls, and have it corrected.
  • Call your cellular provider's Customer service department. This phone number can be found on the provider's website.
  • Avoid the automated system by continually pressing zero. With a representative on the phone, identify yourself, your account, your phone number and provide any password information if instructed. Explain your request to the representative, emphasizing the speed with which you need your request filled. Offer your phone number and the phone number you wish to block on your account. Obtain the representative's name, title and extension.
  • Contact your cellular provider's technical support department immediately after speaking with the customer service representative. This number can also be found on the provider's website. While a customer service representative may have already handled the problem, technical support can verify its completion. Provide the customer service representative's pertinent information to clarify and expedite the tech support's search. Ask if your request has been handled, technically-speaking. Obtain the tech support representative's name, title and extension.
  • Wait 24 to 48 hours. If the phone calls continue from the blocked number, contact customer service. Immediately ask to speak with a supervisor or manager. Explain to the superior your unresolved issue, provide the names and extensions of the previous representatives, and wait on the line until the number is successfully blocked. Again, ask to be transferred to technical support to verify the correction. If the problem continues, repeat until it is resolved.
So you need Assistance of Network Provider to Block...Hope you got an Idea...If this Helped you-Vote Me..Thanks for Contacting FixYa....

When i press the number 6 button,it goes back to main menu

The fault is from the phone keypad.

Switch of your phone, remove the battery, use a phone screw driver to loose your phone to access the internal keypad board. Clean the keyboard with cotton wool and a little liquid carefully, allow it dry and couple the phone back.

You could test the phone before coupling it back.

Best wishes.
