It means the Child Lock feature which locks the controls is turned on. Look for the two console buttons, usually adjacent, with the lock and child symbols between them like the one shown below. Press and hold those buttons simultaneously until the CL light turns off to unlock the controls.

Hi IE means Inlet Error. The machine thinks that it is not filling (as a certain time has passed without reaching level it wants).
This makes sense if water is running out the bottom.
You will need to find the leak. Maybe the tub to pump hose, or the drain pump itself. Once you stop the leak and the machine can fill in the correct amount of time, you shouldnt see the IE error any longer.

It sounds like you have a faulty interlock. This is what locks the door during the wash cycle.Sometimes they won't unlock and need to be replaced. There may be a pull tab inside the pump access area at floor level to get door open....Not a big job for a tech......Nomess

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor/pump lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to rinse or spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Following are my complete and hopefully 'coverall' pre-typed guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

'de' stands for Door Error. There is likely to be a problem with either the door solenoid/lock or the 'door closed' sensor. Both require a service engineer's attention I suggest ;-0(

If this has assisted and/or clarified the situation for you please consider a 4 thumbs up on our rating.
Thanks and good luck!

DE error does mean the door latch, but there are three parts that could cause the error code.If you have changed the door lock already then the main p.c.b/computer board has failed and not registering the door lock but there is a 5-10% chance it's the wiring connecting the two parts together. So basically you need to change the main p.c.b & if that doesn't work it needs to be rewired.unless you know how to use a multi-meter then you could test the wiring for a definate answer.THANKS ECO KIZZA

LE = Load Error. If you do not have an unusually heavy or unbalanced load, replace the HALL sensor on the motor. Remove back access panel, remove bolt from center of motor. Remove rotor. Remove bolts holding motor coils to machine. Unplug wires. Un-clip sensor, replace with new sensor, and re-assemble. This is a rather easy repair.

Hi

If the beep sound is from the dial not from the bottom where the motor is so the issue seems to be with the Timer/control board going bad and should be replaced to solve this issue. However, you can unplug the unit and then blow some air with the help of hair dryer before replacing the Timer motor/control board. If the sound comes from the motor area then it is the motor that should be replaced. When the motor goes bad it will fill with water and empty. One more thing to check will be the door lock-switch assembly, because if the control detects door not locked it won't run cycle and will just drain the water out. Hope this helps...

Hi,

Please inspect the impeller of the drain pump from inside the washing machine. First remove the screen at the bottom and manually remove as much water as you can. Then there is a plastic cover over the impeller at the bottom of the inside of the washer. The cover is held in place by a couple of screws. Once the cover is removed, you can see if anything is jamming the impeller. You can also spin the impeller by hand to see if its stuck.

Try to inspect the impeller without pulling the washer out of the cabinet. If you know what you are doing, it only takes a minute to remove the cover of the impeller.
In my case, there was nothing in the impeller. However, after the repairman spun the impeller by hand a few times, the drain pump started working again.

The pump is probably going out, so I am having the pump replaced, but the part needs to be ordered and it won’t be installed until next week.
Let us know if you want something more else please accept the solution.

HELLO THERE:
Ok FIRST i believe this to be a Hall sensor that is either acting up or is failing you all together so.
here is what you can do about it to find out for sure.
First try unplugging the machine for a few minutes and then retry a cycle. If you still get the LE error: try it 1 more time
Now if you still get the error

The Hall sensor (part number 6501KW2001A) has failed. and will deffinatly need to be replaced
If you feel comfortable about ordering the part on lin e you can get the part from appliance parts pros.com ok or contact your local repar service center
I would also check to see if the machine is still under warranty ok
Hoe this isvery helpful for you

you would need to take out the whole drum assm....in other words you will need to dismantle the whole unit.....first thing first get lysol aerosol spray and spray around were there is mold.....i would take the unit outside and then spray it.....becuase once the mold have been disturbed it will find another place to live on......next u will need to use front load HE detergent......when you wash your laundry....start with the cold water clothes first then the last loads use hot water so it will wash clothes and disinfect at the same times...
lastly after all luandry have been washed ........open washer door over night so it can air out.......if not opening it at all the water and detergent that sits over night can cuase mold buildup and foul odors.....the gaskets are air tight and can not evaporate when door is closed.....
if your house has a/c i would put a fan in front of the washer over night..............

a feed back would be good if this helps anybody.....
my opinion........
the older top load washers are better..............
