funnel itself squeeze in on sides to release tabs. so many tabs broke a redesign was made 5-30-2005 , have to replace frame bracket and funnell. models after tant had new design. part number from exploded view: 3016JA2002C funnel 278d location number exp. view

If it is over flowing, the water presure is too high or the inlet tube is not in place

i believe there is a water filter in the fridge side as well as a storage tank. if the fridge is set too cold the tank or filter will freeze. causing blockage. Try setting fridge to 38 deg or higher for a couple of days. should melt blockage

I have found that the Solenoids can and do go bad on all ice makers, if the unit has had a dirty filter for a long time or the unit has been operated without water in the past, the solenoid will burn out.
They are relatively cheap to replace.

heating element is bad and dose not heat to relase the ice .. replace ice maker is what usally has to be done....

no. call now ,you probably have blown fuse on the main board of the unit.you will need a new board.

Hi, If you are trying to get the plate off of the dispenser, there might be 2 slots under the bottom front edge that you can insert the screw driver in and pry. It will take a little force. Also look under the fron edge and make sure there a small screw holding it.

Try truning your freezer colder. Had same problem with my Hotpoint. But empty ice at least twice a year if you dont you it often because they will stick together from opening and closing the door. Rus

The dispenser cover snaps off. Look at the bottom corners of the dispenser faceplate and you may see small slots to put a small flat bladed screwdriver inside to help pry the faceplate off. This faceplate snaps on very tightly so it may seem like there are screws holding it in place, but it only snaps in.

Once you have the faceplate off the rest will be easy as you can see what you are doing and what you have to remove.

Note, if you are replacing the funnel you need to know that this part has been updated as of OCT 2005 (stronger clips to hold it in place) and it will not snap into the older funnel frame (the part it attaches to).

If the serial number for your model starts with 510KR or lower, then you will also need the updated funnel frame part number 3210JA0006S.

Make sure that an ice cude is not stuck somewhere in the maker. I had a simular problem and that was it.

We have the same problem with the ice cube tray. Repairman said the tray must be replaced every year as continual bending warps it out of shape. Replace every year and your problem is solved.

You may have ice building up inside the fill tube that is slowing the water flow.  You will have to remove ice maker to see inside the tube.  If the tube has ice buildup, use a hair dryer to melt the ice.  Then is should work fine.

I had the exact same problem after looking at the ice maker I saw that there was a test button I pressed the button and it started working again

you need to check the condenser fan motor located in back of the refrig behind cardboard cover. most likely the motor is bad or something is obstructing the fan from turning. also be sure the coil under the unit is clean as well. temporarily you can place a house fan blowing in the rear of the unit to keep it operating normally until you get it repaired.. peyton

ER FF is a freezer fan error. Basically the mainboard is not receiving a feedback signal from the freezer fan motor within 65 seconds. When this happens the error code will come up and then none of the buttons will work.

You can clear out the error code by unplugging and plugging the machine back in. The error code will come back if the problem persists. Check around the freezer fan motor fan blades to see if ice buildup is interfering with the operation. Clearing out this ice may fix the issue.

If the problem comes back, then the fan motor may be getting ready to go out or the unit may not be defrosting properly.

Hold the button to allow the water fill all the lines and water tank.  It will take time but it should fill eventually.  If it doesn't, then have a qualified LG technician check the water valve.
