Minimax NT 400 TSI Heater problem
I bet that your 15 seconds of flame are more like 7 seconds. The time is very important. If the flame is not recognized after a specific time the valve is shut off. If the flame sensor is GOING bad but still make some rectification then you may get the issue you are having. I would start with the flame sensor and work from there.

Check your SENSOR. With the Minimax ch heater, you might be using an 'IntelliTouch' panel that controls your equipment. If you are, check the reading that the panel says the water temperature is and then check the temperature of the water 'coming out' (spa??) manually with a floating thermometer. When the heater cycles off, check the difference between the 2 numbers. Say the panel says 102 & the thermometer says 95?? - that is a faulty sensor, telling the heater that the water has reached 102, so it cycles off before ever getting hot. If you're not using the IntelliTouch, you will be checking the display panel on the actual heater itself & again the floating thermometer. Now...
if the temperature is less than a 4 degree difference you can always calibrate/or have calibrated the heater.

This model has a hot surface ignitor. If rain water got inside the unit while fireing the ignitor would fail. It is located on the center of the firewall just above the burners. be sure to shut the power off then the ignitor can be removed and the new one installed. This is a very frail part so be careful with it.
